| The Tale of Sir Bob By Asterbluejewel The tale of Sir Bob is a story about a stolid man who braves all odds to, as you people nowadays say it, “He wanted to up his street cred.” Here’s how it began: Our friend Sir Bob had just been made a knight. He was strutting around, bragging, which caught the attention of the villain of our story, Sir Greg. Now Sir Greg had a certain jealousy towards Sir Bob because Sir Bob was more handsome (And he was an all around nicer guy) than Sir Greg. So Sir Greg challenged Sir Bob to a duel (A swordfight, which was Sir Greg’s specialty). Sir Bob excepted the challenge, and they were to fight in a week. Then Sir Bob remembered he was the worst duelist in the Kingdom! He practiced and practiced, but it seemed that all was lost. On the day of the duel, in a land far, far away, a girl was writing a story called The Tale of Sir Bob. But let’s get back to the present. Sir Bob and Sir Greg would duel out in the forest. It was as foggy as a lake when the snow is melting. It would seem all was lost, but Sir Bob had been eating an abundance of carrots, so he could see clearly. He saw Sir Greg looking wildly around, wondering where our hero was. So Sir Bob raced forward and killed Sir Greg. At that very moment, Sir Bob remembered that Sir Greg was the king’s son. So soon after, Sir Bob was taken into custody, tortured, and then hung. I believe the Moral is something like “Eat carrots, they improve your eyesight.” |
